24 tents of Democratic Solution in Batman, Tunceli, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Bingöl, Antep, Şırnak’s Silopi, Cizre and İdil counties, Siirt, Mardin's Kızıltepe and Nusaybin counties, Van, Doğubayazıt, Muş’s Bulanık county, Varto, Malazgirt, Adana, Mersin, İzmir, Manisa, and Iğdır on April 26, 2011 at precisely 02:00 were raided simultaneously and the tents with their contents were confiscated.
Police raided the ‘Democratic Solution Tentes’ erected by BDP on the 26th of April. The tents in 24 provinceswere taken down by the early morning operations of the police and 60 people were taken into custody. The reason for the raid is said to be “public security”. There are protest sittings and reerecting of tents in some places.

Akın Birdal, Antep candidate, and Ferhat Tunç, Tunceli candidate declared the tents will be once again erected.
Ferhat Tunç commented on the raid saying that this was the electoral concept of AKP and it has started by YSK procedures showing that they do not want peace but violence and war. Bengi Yıldız, Batman candidate said they will continue with the tents and if were assaulted again they could do the same to AKP bulidings.
At the İdil county of Şırnak independent candidate Hasip Kaplan, Mayor Resul Sadak, councillors and citizens put the tent up again. The tent in Silopi was also erected again and mainly by the women
In Diyarbakır thousands marched in protest and re erected the tent in Bağlar. When the new tent was also taken down demonstrators confronted the police. Shops closed in Şırnak in protest. In Kızıltepe, Mardin a sitting protest followed the raid. In Siirt Mothers for Peace Initiative also started a sitting protest in place of the tent.
